The Cat's Meow Background works
Commissioned BG work for "The Cat's Meow," a 2D animated grad film by Michi and Meghan, my friends!
The ambience was akin to a warm night market, slowly turning from dusk to night. Art direction was inspired by Steven Universe BGs, watercolour backgrounds from old western cartoons, and lantern festivals. Also contains some animation tests for animated BGs, tapping into my animation background. Biggest challenge? Drawing the same environment from several angles.
